How my journey began
Hi, I’m Natasha
I’m a mum of two young boys, was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, and from an early age, realised that my purpose in life is to help people.
My interest in Natural Medicine began whilst working as a pharmacy assistant in the mid 1990’s. Placed in charge of the ever-growing Vitamin section, I began to meet customers who were in awe that many of their long standing health complaints were improving or resolving with nutrients; The customer with chronic Asthma from a young age who told me that Betacarotene had helped decrease her use of Ventolin….. the man who’s monthly purchase of Black Cherry Concentrate alleviated his Gout symptoms. One by one they came, astounded, excited and relieved that another solution to their health concerns was found. Working in this area my knowledge of nutritional remedies grew and I decided to look further into this fascinating approach to health care.
In 1996, I began my journey in the field of Naturopathy, studying at the South Australian College of Natural and Traditional Medicine and after 4 years, graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science in Naturopathy with Honours. Wanting to attain higher accreditation, I later completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy at the University of South Australia.
After beginning my practice, it became apparent that while people came to me with varied physical health conditions and problems, there was often a connection to an emotional or psychological cause. Intrigued with this connection, I went on to study a Diploma of Professional Counselling and use a combination of these therapies to give clients a more Holistic approach.
In addition to private practice, I have worked for a number of well-established Vitamin companies. My roles have included training and technical support for the general public, pharmacy assistants and professional practitioners alike. I have enjoyed lecturing for various groups and associations across South Australia, including Endeavour College.
